There are times when I feel the weight of spiritual conflict. My natural response has often been to fight—to pray harder, put on the armor of God, stand my ground, and contend. Scripture certainly tells us that spiritual warfare is real, but lately, in solitude and silence, I have been thinking differently about what it actually means to fight. When God revealed Himself to Moses, He said: “I AM WHO I AM.” Yahweh. The God who is. The God who has always been and always will be.
