I'm Alan.

The mountains at the top of this page are the High Sierra, near Mammoth. I lived up there after high school. There's something about the stillness of living in a place like that. It settles your heart. You get quieter in your soul. That's when I knew there was something bigger than me. After that I moved back to Los Angeles. In 1974, on the UCLA campus, I made Jesus my Lord and Savior.

In 1978 I met Tammie. We married in 1979. We've been together 47 years. We raised four kids. We have fourteen grandchildren.

I started construction while I was still in Mammoth. After I moved back to Los Angeles I got my California contractor's license in 1980. I spent a lot of years at that, and a lot of years in church. These days, probably because I'm semi-retired, I have more time to hear Him.
