The first command is love God. The second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself. Do not judge them. Do not climb above them. Agape does not come from us. It comes from Him.

For thirty-eight years a man lay beside water that never reached him. Jesus did not help him into the pool. He asked if he wanted to be made well. That question still finds us on our own mats.

In Part 1 we sat with John in the prison. Here we sit with the line that followed — who the least in the kingdom actually are, and what that life looks like once you are in the house.

I sat with the Lord this morning and Luke 5 came close again. Some people were watching Jesus' men eat and drink. They wanted to know why those men weren't fasting like they were. Jesus talked about a wedding. While the groom is with his friends, they celebrate. But the days will come when the groom is taken away. Then they will fast. Jesus isn't walking those roads anymore. He's with the Father. The Spirit has been given. And still, there are days to go without. Days to say
